California Highlight Sale Report

The California Highlight Sale was held in conjunction with the Host Night of the 2010 California State Holstein Convention at Hero’s Sports Bar in Modesto, California. The video sale was hosted by the Stanislaus County Holstein Club, and co-chaired by Tony DeMello and Robert Teixeira.


The sale averaged $3,569 on 33 lots. A majority of the lots were choices of flush, or calves and yearling heifers sold in absentee. Chris Hill served as auctioneer, with Gilbert Teixeira announcing pedigrees. Three lots topped the sale at $5000.


Lot 2 - Kisst Jeeves Sunburst-ET (born March 1, 2009) sold for $5000 to Jim and Bill Genasci; Modesto, Calif. Sunburst is a Jeeves calf from Cabernet Goldwyn Sunlight-ET, EX 90, and consigned by John Kisst of Ripon, California.


Lot 4 – 1st Choice of 6 Females sired by Shottle from Markwell Goldwyn Mitzi-ET (VG-88) born 3/09-6/09 sold for $5,000 to Manuel Maciel and Jim Wilson; Hanford, Calif. Mitzy is a Goldwyn daughter from the Raven family.


Lot 11 - 1st Choice of 3 Goldwyns all bred to Golden-Oaks ST Alexander-ET sold for $5,000 to Quaresma Dairy; Manteca, Calif. The dam of the Sept 2008 Goldwyns is Zendi Outside Eve-ET, EX 92, granddaughter of Zendi Van-Mark Ebony, EX 96.
